Who is responsible
Dale Whelehan, PhD, is responsible for personal information collected through this website. To ask a privacy question, withdraw consent, unsubscribe or request access, correction or deletion, contact dalewhelehan@gmail.com.
Enquiries
The form collects the name, email address and any organisation, event details, budget and message you choose to provide. Where available, the submission also includes the selected keynote, referring website domain and campaign tags in the page address (source, medium and campaign), to understand which enquiries our communications generate. When email notifications are enabled, enquiry details are also sent to Dale’s inbox through Resend, our email delivery provider. These details are used to assess and respond to your request and manage any resulting engagement. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or legitimate interests in responding to other professional enquiries. Please avoid including sensitive personal information.
Updates
Registration for occasional updates is optional and based on your consent. Your choice and the submission date are recorded. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing the address above. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you unless you separately opt in.
Website engagement
With your permission, this site records page views and selected actions, including speaking-enquiry clicks, video clicks, House of Time clicks, newsletter clicks and form activity. Records contain the event, date, page path, referring website or campaign source, approximate country where supplied by our hosting network, broad device and browser category, and browser language.
After you allow analytics, we create a random browser identifier stored on your device for up to 90 days, and a visit identifier that renews after 30 minutes without tracked activity. These help count unique browsers, visits and returning visitors. These are estimates of browsers, not identified people; different devices and domains may count the same person separately. We do not fingerprint your device or store raw IP addresses, precise location, age or gender. Country is approximate and can reflect a VPN or network relay.
Analytics records are separate from enquiry records and are not linked to names or email addresses. You can allow or decline analytics, or withdraw your choice at any time through “Analytics preferences” on each public page. Declining removes the analytics identifiers stored in your browser and stops future analytics collection; it does not affect the enquiry form. Existing aggregate reporting may continue to include earlier activity. Your choice is stored in your browser. Referring domain and campaign tags are retained for the current browser session to accompany an enquiry. The hosting provider may process technical connection and security logs to operate the website.
Storage, access and retention
Enquiry and registration records are stored in the website’s hosted database, supported by OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Access to the dashboard is restricted to Dale’s authorised account. Information may be shared with an appointed representative where needed to respond to your request; it is not sold. Hosting providers may process information outside the EEA under their applicable contractual safeguards.
Enquiries are reviewed for deletion after 24 months without further activity. Records needed for contracts or legal obligations may be retained longer. Update registrations are retained until consent is withdrawn or the list is discontinued. Analytics records are reviewed after 12 months. These are review periods; deletion is managed through the owner dashboard.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent. You can also complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
